Tuesday:
- In science we made an instrument called a "sound sandwich." The materials we used are:
- popsicle sticks
- thick rubber bands
- thin rubber bands
- straws

- In math we practiced adding on a number line
- In writing and social we learned about natural resources in Nova Scotia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Iqaluit
Wednesday:
- In gym we played a hockey game with pool noodles
- In music we listened to a musical story and we played a game
- In math we did a mystery math talk and we played the power of ten game called "slap jack"
- In writing we learned about natural resources in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Ask me what the natural resources are!
- In word work we practiced writing words with the vowel team "ai" and "ay". Ask me 2 words that have those vowel teams
Thursday:
- In math we had Ms Harris come into our classroom and we did a fun number line activity!
- In gym we played hockey with pool noodles
- In writing we wrote about natural resources in Iqaluit, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Nova Scotia
- In science we learned about how sound travels. We did an experiment where we a telephone using cups, string, and paper clips
- In literacy centres we played some new literacy games! Ask me what I played!
Friday:
- In music we got to share our musical talents with the rest of the class. Ask me what I shared!
- In our field study we tried to find patterns in nature. Ask me what I found!
- In science we learned about different sounds. We did an experiment where we filled 3 glasses with different amounts of water and then tapped them with a metal fork. Here were our results:
- Least amount of water: Highest pitch
- Medium amount of water: Medium pitch
- Most amount of water: Lowest pitch
- In science we also showed our understand of sound by drawing and writing everything we learned. Ask me what I learned!
