Tuesday April 30

 Highlights:

• In gym we did gymnastics and we learned how to jump!
• In math we did a measurement art project. We got to make our own city and then we measured the side of the buildings in cm!
• We did our daily spellie!
• In writing we read the story "How to be a good ancestor" and then we discussed different ways that we can take care of our planet!
• Literacy centres. Ask me what centre I was in!

Thursday April 25

 Highlights:

- We continued to measure different lengths of tape on the floor using a ruler 

- We solved the school literacy scavenger hunt mystery message! 

- It was "stop, drop, read" day. Every time Ms Brinson told us to stop and read on the intercom we had to stop what we were doing and begin reading our books! 

- We wrote an acrostic poem for Ms. Sam! 

- In writing we wrote about the story "Here we are."

Friday April 26

 Highlights:

• Literacy centres. Ask me what centre I was in!
• It was "read outside day." All of the students got to bring books outside and read 
• In writing we made acrostic poems for Mr. Newton and Ms. White. Ask me what I wrote! 
• We had music today! Ask me what we did! 
• We did our daily spellie challenge! 

Wednesday April 24

 Highlights:

• In gym we got to go outside and play "Capture the Flag" 
• In math we measured different lines on the floor using a ruler 
• In writing we wrote about a birthday party we went to, or one of our own birthday party's. We needed to include sensory details such as "I see, I hear, I taste, I smell, I feel"
• We did our daily "Spellie" challenge 
• We got to do a tour of the book fair. We saw all the amazing books that they have there! 

Reminders:

• Family literacy night is tomorrow from 4:30-6:00. Come and play the literacy games we have been learning, and enjoy the food trucks that will be here! 
• Book fair is tomorrow from 3:30-6:30
