Thursday March 21

 Highlights:

• In social studies we made arctic animals out of clay. Then we drew their shadow
• In writing we wrote about "What we would do if a penguin showed up at my door"
• In math/art we made zentangle rabbits

• Parent/teacher conferences tonight and tomorrow!
• No school tomorrow and next week. Have a wonderful spring break!

Wednesday March 20

 Highlights:

• In math we did a 2 digit addition with regrouping worksheet
• In math we practiced how to count backwards. Ask me how to count backwards from 30
• In gym we played "down the chimney"
• In writing we wrote about "If I found a penguin at my door..."
• In social we learned about different animals that live in the arctic. Ask me 3 animals that live there!

Tuesday March 19

 Highlights:

• In music we played the drums and we read a story 
• In gym we played a game called "down the chimney." Ask me how to play!
• In writing we continued writing about the book "Lost and Found." Then we got to share our writing with the class!
• In math we practiced 2 digit addition with regrouping. Ask me how to solve:

Monday March 18

 Highlights:

- In science we learned how light travels:

• Light travels in a straight line
• Light reflects 
• Light refracts 
• Light dispersion

- In math we started learning how to do 2 digit addition equations with regrouping 

- In writing we used our 4 square planner and wrote about the book "Lost and Found" 

- We got a new seating arrangement today! Ask me who I am sitting with 

- Lucky the leprechaun visited our classroom and made a humungous mess and he also left us a note! We also drew pictures of leprechauns

Friday March 15

 Highlights:

• We read the story "Lost and Found" and made a 4 square planner about what happened in the beginning, middle, and the end of the story 
• In gym we had freedom frenzy. Ask me what my favorite activity was!
• We made our leprechaun traps! Ask me what I put in my trap!
